Strong Character development changes the life direction of at-risk youth.
Children living in low income situations often face challenges that make it difficult for them to succeed in life. This is magnified when they come from fatherless homes. More than 9 out of every 10 children that live in our adopted neighborhoods come from Fatherless Homes.
Our Goals & Results
- Instill positive values that encourage good decision making.
- Increase individual youth’s responsibility, trustworthiness and respect.
- Ensure that each student involved in the program has an increased understanding of how to live a life of integrity and the consequences that come as a result of violating boundaries in society and in social environments.
- Decrease student disruptive behavior at home and at school.
The Kids Club program is a one hour program being offered in low income communities to children ages five and up. During the one hour program, children are taught about developing a specific character trait and they engage in activities that reinforce the character teaching. The Kids Club program is staffed with caring adults that mentor the children and speak into their lives.
